Covid updates and Policies
I work with a variety of clients, some who are elderly, immunocompromised, managing a major diagnosis, or in some way at higher risk of complications from covid. In an effort to protect one another, I am following current safety guidelines from the state of Vermont. I appreciate your patience as I navigate changing circumstances. Your open and honest communication is key and much appreciated. Thank you for choosing to work with me during these changing times!
What to Expect - Updated 4/25/22
-Masks are required for all clients currently. We are located in a medical facility - All people are required to wear a mask upon entering the building and during sessions until further notice. We can make adjustments for face-down prone position so that you can comfortably breath.
-Our waiting room is open and available for use - All clients need to wear a mask. If you are at high-risk for covid complications, please consider wearing an N95, KN95 disposable mask, double-masking, or wearing a fabric mask that supports use of a filter.
-Payment - Current clients can submit an appointment request direct through my site. My preferred method of payment is cash, check, or venmo @gabygyoga. If you prefer to use a credit card I will email an invoice.
-Bring a refillable water bottle to minimize surfaces touched and plastic waste. I am happy to pour you a glass of water if you forget!! You may need to remind me. Drinking water facilitates cleansing and healing of your cells and a reusable bottle reduces landfill waste.
-Frequently touched surfaces are disinfected and sanitized between sessions with EPA approved cleaning supplies. This includes bathrooms, door handles, jewelry dish, etc. My table and face cradle have a hospital-grade cover on them, allowing me to use stronger disinfectants that kill covid and other viruses. I sanitize with ispropyl alcohol after.
-Air Quality - A fan circulates air throughout your session and the building's HVAC system has UV light filters which kill viruses, bacteria, and have been shown to kill covid. Our air quality is good and our office is low-traffic.
Client Responsibilities:
-If you feel sick or have been in contact with anyone that is sick, please reschedule your appointment and stay home even if you believe you have a regular cold. Please observe Vermont state guidance on quarantines, get tested, etc. I closely monitor my own health and if I am not well will reschedule appointments accordingly. Communication is key!
-Vaccination/Masks- Please be honest if you are vaccinated or not. People make different choices for different reasons and I am not here to judge your choice. I am responsible for managing my practice and space in a way that keeps clients and peers safe and stops the spread of covid. Folks that are unvaccinated, elderly, and/or immunocompromised are at higher risk for contracting covid19 and living with long term effects. The more info I have, the better I can serve clients and my community. It is ok to visit me if you are unvaccinated but I may ask you to wear your mask the whole time. We will figure it out.
I encourage the use of a cotton or cloth mask that fits snuggly around your nose and face - less gaps = more protection for everyone. Disposable masks work too, though they create a lot of waste and litter. You can play a role in minimizing landfill waste by using a cloth mask many of which are repurposed fabrics. Masks are great for stopping the spread of many common airborne illnesses, especially when in close quarters. Thank you for your communication and understanding.
